Instructions
Unwrap and prepare puff pastry to package directions. Allow to defrost for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a bowl, combine apples, flour, sugar and cinnamon. Toss until evenly coated.
In a nonstick pan, add apples and 1/4 cup of water. Cook on low, stirring occasionally so mixture doesn’t stick. Add water if mixture becomes too thick, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Mixture will be done when apples are tender. About 10 minutes.
Allow to cool slightly.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry dough keeping the square shape as intact as possible. Cut into 4 or 8 squares.
Add apple mixture to the middle of each square and you should have enough filling so that just the corners of the dough touch. I pinch them lightly.
Repeat until you have 4 or 8 nicely filled squares
For egg wash, combine egg white and 1 tablespoon of water, whisk together, and them brush onto each square.
Bake for about 20 minutes at 375 degrees or until nice a golden brown.
