Honey Orange Mint Green Tea is healthy, refreshing and a perfect sipper year around. This is simple to make and a good way of drinking something good tasting and good for you.
In a large, heat proof container, I add 6-8 tea bags to about 4 cups of hot water. I steep the tea bags for a few minutes and allow it to cool down to a warm temperature.
Stir in honey to taste; I use about 2 tsp of raw honey.
I add ice to a 1 quart pitcher and the mint leaves and pour the warm tea onto the leaves and ice in the pitcher. This allows the mint to release the flavor into the tea delicately. Top with additional water if needed.
Allow the tea to cool and pour into glasses and add ice if needed.
Garnish with orange wedge and additional mint. If you want to store any remaining tea, remove mint leaves before placing in the refridgerator as they will brown. The citrus fairs well. This keeps in the refridgerator about 3 days.
