In the United States, there are about 4 general types of blue/bleu cheeseย that you can find in most supermarkets:
- American Blue cheese- Point Reyes,ย Maytag: Creamy with some tang. Theย textureย is creamy with a crumblierย texture.
- Roquefortย cheese – Frenchย bleu cheese: Sharp and salty with a moistย textureย and crumbly.ย
