Herbes De Provence – 3 Ways

Herbes de Provence speaks Spring to me. It makes crave simple, delicious food. Simple Roast Chicken, vegetables, lentil salad, green beans and on and on. I purchase mine from Trader Joe’s. The Trader Joe’s version has Thyme, Marjoram, Savory, Rosemary, Basil, Sage and Lavender. There are many versions out there, with or without Lavender or Bay Leaf. I really like the touch of Lavender.

3 ways to use Herbes de Provence:

  • Roasted Purple Cauliflower
  • Simple Roast Chicken
  • Puff Pastry with Pears Gorgonzola and Walnuts

This herb blend is quintessential in French cooking. At first glance, the herb blend might seem intimidating, but once you start using it, you’ll find that you will use it more often that not.

Other uses for this brilliant, fresh herb blend? Potatoes, baked or fried. Eggs, any way. Chicken soup, Avocado toast, any roasted vegetable, the ideas are endless. My personal favorite way to use this is in Chicken soup, Roast chicken, roasted vegetables and hummus!
